Morning showers creating a wet start to Wednesday in the Treasure Valley. Widespread light to moderate rain will continue until about 7 or 8 a.m. this morning. After the storms, look for skies to quickly clear and we'll see partly cloudy skies with lots of sun breaks. Highs will be in the mid to high 40s.'

This morning we're feeling the lasting effects of an atmospheric river that was and still is hammering Northern California with rain and snow. The showers we saw yesterday and what we're seeing this morning are the offspring of the atmospheric river. Once this storm fades, a high-pressure system off the coast will slide inland. This will keep conditions across the Pacific Northwest dry for the rest of today and for tomorrow as well. Here in Idaho, we'll likely see dry conditions for through the weekend. Computer models are showing that storms could return early next week and those storms will likely be rain.

Highs will jump back into the 50s on Friday and we'll likely see 50-degree highs for the foreseeable future. Next week, we'll see highs in the low to mid-50s. If anything changes, we'll keep you updated!
